At this stage, the raw aluminum disc is prepared and enhanced through a sophisticated 7-layer painting process on both sides. This advanced technology ensures maximum adhesion of the coating and allows for the creation of high-quality finishes, from glossy black to a textured stone effect.

Molding
The painted discs are transferred to the stamping department where, using high-precision automated presses, the metal is cold-molded. This process transforms the flat disc into the three-dimensional body of the pot, simultaneously defining its structure and the design of the base.

The non-stick daisy mold is the rounded petal mold that gives desserts the classic Italian daisy shape: rounded edges, a symmetrical shape, and an elegant profile. With the scratch-resistant, PFOA-free, 7-layer coating, each petal comes out clean and whole. Mamù produces it in aluminum, available in four sizes. Made in Italy.
The daisy mold in Italian tradition
The daisy mold is one of the most deeply rooted molds in Italian baking tradition: the rounded petal shape appears in thousands of Italian recipe books under the names "torta margherita," "ciambella margherita," and regional variations. Grandma's mold, the one found in every Italian kitchen, the one that gives its name to so many traditional recipes.
The difference between the margherita mold and the flower mold lies in the shape of the petals: the margherita has rounded, broad petals, similar to the petals of the wild daisy. The flower has narrower, pointed petals. The margherita is the classic shape; The flower is the most geometric and modern shape.

The 7-layer coating and daisy petals
The rounded petals of the daisy seem less difficult to release than the pointed petals of other molds. However, the concave curve between each petal remains a critical point where dough can stick. With the 7-layer, scratch-resistant, PFOA-free coating, release is uniform across the entire surface, including the concavities between the petals that give the mold its recognizable daisy shape.
