Mamù Cookware

For over 70 years guided by passion, design and innovation Made in Italy

Mamù was born from the experience gained over 70 years of producing aluminum pans and pots. The first generation of the Mugnano family entered the world of cookware in 1950. In the 1960s, Mario Mugnano , still very young, took his first steps working in his father's factory, learning the secrets of the process.

After years of passion and dedication, Mario Mugnano brought his vision to life , creating his first company producing nonstick aluminum cookware with his sons. This same passion led his sons to work side by side with him.

At this stage, the raw aluminum disc is prepared and enhanced through a sophisticated 7-layer painting process on both sides. This advanced technology ensures maximum adhesion of the coating and allows for the creation of high-quality finishes, from glossy black to a textured stone effect.

  • Surface pretreatment for perfect anchoring
  • High-resistance 7-phase painting cycle
  • Special finishes and stone effect

The oven is a closed pot with a heavy lid that goes directly over the gas burner, with a flame separator underneath. Inside, a warm, humid environment is created that cooks food like in a small country oven, without turning on your home oven. Mamù produces the non-stick aluminum oven in three versions, Made in Italy, at factory prices.

How the oven works: gas oven cooking

Place the oven over low heat with a flame separator underneath. The heavy lid traps heat and steam inside. Bread browns, pizza cooks on the bottom, and cakes rise and dry, without waiting for the electric oven to reach temperature. In the summer, you won't heat up the entire kitchen or use up the oven's electricity.

The Mamù nonstick aluminum oven has a scratch-resistant PFOA-free interior coating: food doesn't stick to the bottom during slow cooking. The base distributes heat evenly, and the shape of the lid allows steam to circulate.

Tall Oven vs. Short Oven: Which to Choose

The main difference is the internal height, which determines what you can cook.

The tall oven has room for rustic bread, tall leavened products, whole chickens, rustic pies, and desserts that rise during cooking. The most versatile format for those who use a toaster oven instead of an oven for all preparations. Three versions available: with rapid cooking and a heat-resistant double handle, with easy handling, and in classic aluminum. Prices starting at €6.50.

The low oven is compact and suitable for flat preparations: pizza, focaccia, savory pies, piadinas, and flatbreads. It takes up less space on the stove, reaches temperature faster, and is easy to move. Ideal for those with limited kitchen space or who use the oven almost exclusively for pizza and flatbreads. Available in two sizes.

Versilia Oven: the classic in white aluminum

The Versilia Oven in white aluminum is the traditional version: natural aluminum without coating, sturdy construction, and the same design that has been used in Italian kitchens for decades. With each use, the white aluminum develops a less sticky surface. Available in two sizes, without added lining.

What to cook in the oven

You can cook a wide variety of dishes in the oven:

  • Pizza and focaccia: the base cooks from the bottom like in an oven, the cheese melts with the steam from the lid
  • Bread and leavened products: the internal steam helps the dough rise and forms a golden crust
  • Cakes and desserts: bundt cakes, apple pies, and tarts come out soft on the inside and golden on the outside
  • Meat and chicken: the slow, moist cooking keeps the meat juicy
  • Gratin vegetables: they brown on top, but stay soft on the inside
