Painting
At this stage, the raw aluminum disc is prepared and enhanced through a sophisticated 7-layer painting process on both sides. This advanced technology ensures maximum adhesion of the coating and allows for the creation of high-quality finishes, from glossy black to a textured stone effect.

Molding
The painted discs are transferred to the stamping department where, using high-precision automated presses, the metal is cold-molded. This process transforms the flat disc into the three-dimensional body of the pot, simultaneously defining its structure and the design of the base.

The aluminum cauldron is the traditional Italian large pot: tall, sturdy, with an iron handle for safe lifting even when full. It is used for boiling large quantities of water, preparing large quantities of broth, making summer preserves, sterilizing jars, cooking pasta for large groups, or for any preparation requiring a large, sturdy container. Mamù produces the white aluminum cauldron with iron handle directly in Italy, available in thirteen sizes.
Thirteen sizes: from home cooking to large quantities
The Mamù cauldron range is among the most comprehensive available: from compact domestic sizes to very large ones for large-scale preserves, festivals, or cooking for large groups. With thirteen variations, you can find the right size without having to buy an oversized boiler.
The smaller sizes are ideal for boiling a small amount of water, canning jam, or making broth for 4-6 servings. The medium sizes are most commonly used in Italian kitchens for tomato preserves and generous broth. The large sizes are ideal for festivals, large family gatherings, and large-scale canning.
White aluminum with iron handle: traditional construction
The white aluminum of the boiler has no non-stick coating: it is natural aluminum, the same material used in boilers for generations. Aluminum conducts heat excellently, weighs less than steel, and lasts for decades with minimal maintenance. The iron handle is a key feature of large boilers: iron can hold the weight of a full boiler of water without bending, heats up more slowly than aluminum, and you can lift it while cooking with gloves.
The boiler can be washed by hand with water and detergent: white aluminum is not dishwasher safe because the alkaline environment can oxidize it and dull it over time.

The boiler set with aluminum lid is available in one hundred size combinations: each boiler is paired with a lid of the correct diameter. With the lid closed, the steam stays inside, boiling occurs faster, and you consume less energy.
