In the 1960s, Mario Mugnano , still very young, took his first steps working in his father's factory, learning the secrets of the process.
After years of passion and dedication, Mario Mugnano brought his vision to life , creating his first company producing nonstick aluminum cookware with his sons. This same passion led his sons to work side by side with him.

Painting
At this stage, the raw aluminum disc is prepared and enhanced through a sophisticated 7-layer painting process on both sides. This advanced technology ensures maximum adhesion of the coating and allows for the creation of high-quality finishes, from glossy black to a textured stone effect.

Molding
The painted discs are transferred to the stamping department where, using high-precision automated presses, the metal is cold-molded. This process transforms the flat disc into the three-dimensional body of the pot, simultaneously defining its structure and the design of the base.

The non-stick griddle has a completely flat surface, without any ridges: it's the perfect tool for all preparations that require uniform heat contact across the entire base, without the ridges of a grill pan. Crêpes, piadinas, pancakes, fritters, hamburgers, slices of meat, and delicate fish. Mamù produces it in PFOA-free non-stick aluminum, available in a classic version and a induction-resistant, high-thickness version. Made in Italy.
Non-stick flat griddle: for crêpes, piadinas, and pancakes
The flat surface of the non-stick griddle is essential for preparations that require uniform heat contact across the entire base. Crêpes must cook on a completely flat surface to avoid thicker and thinner areas during cooking. The piadina romagnola must rest completely on the surface, otherwise they will remain raw. The pancakes must cook with a flat bottom to achieve their characteristic circular shape.
With the scratch-resistant PFOA-free coating, you can cook all these preparations with very little or no butter, without the batter sticking to the surface. The aluminum distributes heat evenly across the entire plate.
Non-stick plate in four sizes
The Mamù plate is available in four sizes: from the smallest for single portions and pancakes, to the large one for cooking multiple crêpes at once or a whole piadina romagnola. The medium size covers everyday use.
Heavy-Duty Induction Plate
The heavy-duty induction plate has a reinforced base for induction hobs: it withstands high temperatures without warping and distributes heat evenly. The thick base works well with the flat surface of induction, without cold spots. Also compatible with gas, electric, and glass-ceramic hobs.
Flat Plate vs. Grill Plate: When to Use Each and the Other
Use the flat plate when even contact matters: dough, delicate fish that breaks on the lines, fried eggs, thin preparations. Switch to the grill plate with raised lines when you want searing stripes on meat, draining fat, and the visual effect of grilling. Having both in the kitchen covers all preparations on high heat.
