There is something truly magical about watching children test their skills in the kitchen. Today on the blog, we are taking you inside the kitchen of Alice and her mom, a close-knit duo showing us how to prepare a simple, delicious dish perfect for the whole family: meatballs with creamy béchamel sauce. The secret to their success? Plenty of love, a dash of joy, and the quality of Mamù cookware, which ensures every meal is cooked evenly and stress-free. 🧺 Ingredients For this recipe, Alice and her mom used just a few healthy ingredients: Ground meat (beef or veal) Bread (crumbled breadcrumbs) Parmesan cheese Salt to taste Olive oil for cooking For the homemade Béchamel: Fresh milk Flour Butter Salt 👩🍳 Method 1) Prepare the Meatballs In a bowl, combine the ground meat, crumbled bread, a generous handful of Parmesan, and a pinch of salt. As Alice shows us, knead well with your hands—it’s the best part! Shape them into small, uniform balls. 2) The Cooking Process In a Mamù non-stick pan, pour a drizzle of olive oil and turn on the heat. Gently place the meatballs in and cover with the lid. Thanks to the even heat distribution, the meatballs will cook perfectly while remaining juicy inside. 3) The Secret to the Béchamel While the meatballs brown, let’s move on to the sauce. In a Mamù saucepan, pour the milk, add the flour and a knob of butter. Alice is an expert at whisking to prevent lumps! Keep stirring until the sauce becomes thick and velvety. 4) Serving Once cooked, plate the meatballs and pour the warm béchamel over them. The result? A complete dish that kids (and adults!) will absolutely love. ✨ The Extra Touch Cooking with your children, just like Alice and her mom do, transforms a daily chore into a moment of play and learning. It doesn’t matter if a little flour spills or if the meatballs aren't perfectly round: what matters is the smile at the end when you taste the result!
