Baked chiacchiere recipe procedure:

  • Take a bowl and put the flour in it.

  • Add sugar, eggs, oil, the liqueur of your choice, the orange peel, and the vanilla.

  • Mix slowly, starting from the center of the mixture.

  • Once the mixture seems stable, you can throw away the ladle, roll up your sleeves, and get your hands dirty with the dough.

  • Form the dough into a ball, flouring your hands if necessary.

  • Cover with cling film and let it rest for half an hour.

  • Roll out the dough. It should be so smooth it looks like it came out of a pasta machine. Actually, using a pasta machine might be better.

  • In this case, cut a piece of dough. Roll it out on a floured work surface and insert it into the machine.

  • The result should be a very smooth and taut sheet of pasta. You may need to run it through the pasta machine more than once, depending on your skill.

  • Once your ego is satisfied and you think you've made a good and proper pasta, then cut it first into a rectangle and then make two more cuts down the center. Use all your imagination.

  • Insert them into one baking tray and bake them at 180 degrees for 10-12 minutes. When the chiacchiere are golden brown, it's time to take them out.

  • It's time for the finishing touch: powdered sugar to taste and then straight into your stomach!
