Painting
At this stage, the raw aluminium disc is prepared and enhanced through a sophisticated 7-layer coating process applied to both sides. This advanced technology ensures maximum adhesion of the coating and allows for the creation of high-quality finishes, ranging from glossy black to a textured stone-effect finish.
- Surface pre-treatment for perfect adhesion
- High-resistance 7-stage coating process
- Special finishes and stone effect
Forming
The coated discs are transferred to the forming department where, using high-precision automated presses, the metal is cold-formed. This process transforms the flat disc into the three-dimensional body of the pan, simultaneously defining its structure and the design of the base.
- Mechanical transformation from disc to pan body
- Imprinting the technical design onto the base
- Fully automated pressing process
The Fast Induction Mamù line includes nonstick pots and pans compatible with induction cooktops: each product has a thick, reinforced base that transmits induction heat evenly, without warping over time and without hot spots. The line includes frying pans, woks, saucepans, stockpots, pasta cookers, griddles, and grill pans, all with scratch-resistant, PFOA-free coatings. Made in Italy.
Why induction cookware is different from other cookware
The induction cooktop heats the bottom of the pan through a magnetic field: the pan must have a base made of ferromagnetic material, typically encapsulated stainless steel, which reacts to the magnetic field and heats up. Pure aluminum pans do not work on induction because aluminum is not ferromagnetic.
The pans in the Fast Induction Mamù line solve this problem with their thick, multilayered base: a layer of ferromagnetic material encapsulated in the base ensures induction compatibility, while the thicker base distributes heat evenly across the entire surface instead of concentrating it only at the point of contact with the hob's spiral. Even cooking, no burning in the center, rapid response to temperature changes.
Products in the Fast Induction line
The line covers all the essential tools for everyday cooking:
- Induction pan: available in multiple sizes, from 20 cm for quick-cooking eggs to 30 cm for sautéed dishes and large dishes. The thick bottom distributes heat evenly, even at high temperatures.
- Induction wok: with one handle and two handles, for high-temperature oriental cooking and stir-fries that require an immediate response to changes in heat.
- Induction saucepan with two handles: for soups, legumes, and dishes that simmer over medium heat for a long time.
- Induction saucepan with one handle: easier to handle, for sauces, creams, and dishes that need to be stirred frequently.
- Induction stockpot: for pasta and boiled dishes, with a lid included.
- Induction pasta cooker: with a removable basket for draining pasta without moving the pot. Heavy
- Induction Plate: For grilling meat, grilled vegetables, and fish, compatible with induction hobs.
- Square Induction Grill Pan: For steaks with grill marks, thick base compatible with induction.
The Non-Stick Coating for Induction
The PFOA-Free, scratch-resistant coating of the Fast Induction line withstands the high temperatures generated by induction. Induction heats the base faster than gas, and the coating withstands these thermal variations without deteriorating or releasing substances. Food peels off even during high-temperature cooking, which is typical with induction cooking.
Induction vs. Gas: The Difference in Cooking
The induction hob has some specific characteristics that influence the choice of cookware:
- Rapid heating: Induction heats the bottom faster than gas. The cookware must distribute this heat across the entire surface to avoid hot spots in the center.
- Precise temperature control: Induction allows for very fine adjustments. The thick bottom of the Fast Induction line responds precisely to variations without accumulating too much heat.
- Mandatory flat bottom: The bottom of the pan must be flat to maximize contact with the hob's spiral. The thick bottom of the Fast Induction line maintains its flatness over time without warping.
